Farai Simoyi, London born by Zimbabwean parents, her passion for fashion started at age 5. Now she graces a number of the world's biggest fashion weeks.

 She debuted her Spring/Summer 2011 collection at the New York Fashion Week in 2010 as a new brand 'Farai'. A blend of experiences gained in Africa, Europe, Appalachia and New York City. woman, warrior, wayward traveler are the words associated with the brand 

Her latest showing was at the Africa Fashion Week New York where she said, when interviewed by Soweto TV she has also shown at the South African Fashion Week and she would like her next step to be to launch her brand in South Africa and that is why we chose her for this week.

1. She attended West Virginia University where she did Fashion & Design.
2. She started out as an assistant and was quickly promoted to technical designer.
3. She later was hired as a designer for a major denim company.
